Hoofddorp, The Netherlands – 25 July 2018: KYOCERA Document Solutions Europe’s Executive Vice President, Oscar Sanchez, will take on a new challenge of innovation and digital transformation with his appointment as President & Chief Executive Officer of KYOCERA Document Solutions America, it was today announced, ahead of him taking up the role as of 1st September 2018.
During his time with KYOCERA Document Solutions Europe, Sanchez defined a new era, leading the company through a demanding digital transformation which optimised performance across the board whilst connecting with customers, delivering true value. In Spain and throughout Europe, Sanchez is known to challenge the status quo, continuously searching for opportunities to innovate and delivering exceptional results in major strategic initiatives.
“At each stage of my career, I’ve embraced the next challenge,” said Sanchez. “The Americas are our company’s biggest market, challenge and opportunity which I am relishing taking on in my new role.”
Sanchez understands that the road ahead is a challenging one which outgoing president Yukio Ikeda has left KYOCERA Document Solutions America well prepared to handle. The markets are some of the most rapidly expanding and constantly changing in the world and success in the years ahead will only result from further accelerating the pace of innovation.
That is exactly what Sanchez has achieved in both Europe and Spain, where he rose to General Manager in 2002, only six years after joining the company, and delivered the highest revenue in the company’s history and increased profits by 1,000%. Sanchez then took on additional responsibilities for Business Development throughout Europe, eventually relocating to the Netherlands to head both the Corporate Sales Division and Marketing Division as Executive Vice President of KYOCERA Document Solutions Europe.
Sanchez will be aided throughout the transition process by Ikeda, who will remain in an executive role for the duration of this period and beyond, having led KYOCERA Document Solutions America over two and a half years of continued progression.
“As markets evolve, as our business grows in new ways, we must add new strengths. Oscar Sanchez offers a unique skill set within our company”, said Norihiko Ina, President of KYOCERA Document Solutions Corporation.
Jose Luis Alonso appointed General Manager in Spain
After 16 years of leadership under Sanchez, KYOCERA Document Solutions Spain has appointed a new General Manager in Jose Luis Alonso. The company’s current Director of Innovation & Technology, he boasts an exceptional record in the industry with over 20 years of experience, having most recently led exciting projects in strategical business development and digital transformation within the company.
“The document solutions industry finds itself in a fundamental moment of transformation and regeneration,” said Alonso. “Having the opportunity to face this challenge from the front in a leading company like KYOCERA, and in a market as dynamic as Spain, is, without doubt, an honour.”
Alonso, who was responsible for the creation of KYOCERA Document Solution Spain’s innovative IT Services department, will begin his new role as of 1st August 2018 and look to build on the progress made by Oscar Sanchez.
